BOARD MASTER HOW-TO SAMPLE #4

BoardMaster Help

Adding Images from Existing Files

Using the main menu select "Add Image" or click on the Add Single Image or Add Many Images buttons on the toolbar. Images can be added one at a time or multiple images can be added.

BoardMaster will automatically add images to the end of your story board unless a panel has been selected. (You can select a panel by clicking once on the panel image with the left mouse button. A green box will be displayed around the image indicating that it is selected). If a panel is selected and you add an image to the project, BoardMaster will ask you if you want the new image inserted before the selected image, or added to the end of the project. The single Add Image File Open Dialog Box will display each image as you browse your computer.

The Add Many File Open Dialog does not display the images, but does allow selection of up to 99 images that can be added to the project all at once. To select multiple images in the Add Many File Open Dialog, hold the "CTRL" key down while clicking the images you want with the left mouse button.

Files are added in alphabetical order. Note that alphabetical order for numerically named files is not numerical order. For example, the following files are in alphabetical order. (1.bmp 10.bmp 11.bmp 12.bmp 13.bmp 14.bmp 15.bmp 16.bmp 17.bmp 18.bmp 19.bmp 2.bmp 20.bmp 21.bmp 22.bmp) To have numerically named files added in the correct order, use a "0" as a place holder in the filename (001.bmp, 002.bmp, 010.bmp).

When a single image is added to the project, a dialog box will be displayed which asks you for the frame style for the image being added. When multiple images are added to the project they are added with the default frame style of standard.

Adding an Images from the Clipboard

You can also add images from the Windows clipboard. Simply copy an image from most image editing applications. Then select "Add Image" "Add Image from Clipboard" from the main menu. The image will appear in the finished image dialog. Here you can assign a filename to save the image, and the image will be added to your project.
