Busy week this week.
But here's your assignment: watch "Three Kings."
Ask yourself: Does art imitate life, or does life imitate art?
I think this is one of the all-time most underrated movies. Viewing it again, in these wacky times, only confirms that belief.
Ask yourself what makes art transcendent, of a time and of a place. What makes art enduring? What's the difference between Just A Movie, and a movie that becomes art, or a classic?
Does your material have that quality? Is that one of your goals?
I hope so. I hope I'm writing about one of your movies one day. Get busy. Get it up there on screen.
