INDEX: PAGE 4 OF 4

Dear Friends,

All right, here's the finale of the index, at least for now. The ones that I like in this group are the productivity tips listed on April 2nd - May 10th. In those, I tried to sum up about ten of the most important things I could think of in terms of staying productivity in any conditions. I also like February 26, 2002, even though no one ever believes me that the people you pitch to never want to hear the story: they want the pitch, even if they think they don't.

That's my pitch for the day. And here's the index:

Tuesday, January 22, 2002: WRITER-DIRECTOR-EDITOR-ACTORS
Try Improv classes to understand the acting side of the business.
Tuesday, January 29, 2002: I LOVE PARKING TICKETS, PART ONE
Me vs. Parking Ticket Bureaucracy.
Tuesday, February 05, 2002: SUPERBOWL
The failures and successes of the 2002 Superbowl.
Tuesday, February 12, 2002: I LOVE PARKING TICKETS, PART TWO
The continuing saga of my parking ticket fight.
Tuesday, February 19, 2002: SUN-UP TO SUN-DOWN
A few words on writing hard.
Tuesday, February 26, 2002: DON'T PITCH THE STORY
They want the pitch, not the story. When it comes to pitch meetings, it's the only way to go.
Tuesday, March 05, 2002: BE CAREFUL WHAT YOU PITCH FOR
Don't starve, but don't write things you'll later dread looking back upon.
Tuesday, March 12, 2002: THE BIG QUESTIONS
Discussion on how to get an agent.
Tuesday, March 19, 2002: OSCAR'S FOLLIES
Handicapping the Oscars. Plus, why I hated MULHOLLAND DRIVE.
Tuesday, March 26, 2002: OSCAR WRAP-UP
Ha ha MULHOLLAND DRIVE lost.
Tuesday, April 02, 2002: TIPS ON PRODUCTIVITY, PART 1
Tip #1: Multi-tasking. Tip #2: Stop writing mid-way through a scene.
Tuesday, April 09, 2002: TIPS ON PRODUCTIVITY, PART 2
Tip #3: Work in short bursts.
Tuesday, April 16, 2002: TIPS ON PRODUCTIVITY, PART 3
Tip #4: Write every day, no matter what.
Tuesday, April 23, 2002: TIPS ON PRODUCTIVITY, PART 4
Tip #6: Set small, short-term, achievable deadlines.
Tuesday, April 30, 2002: EVEN MORE TIPS ON PRODUCTIVITY (PART 5)
Tip #7: Pick projects that are personal to you.
Tuesday, May 07, 2002: PRODUCTIVITY OVERLOAD
Tip #8: Balance your distractions in order to be more productive.
Tuesday, May 14, 2002: WRITE WITH A BUDDY
Tip #9: Team up with a writer's group or fellow writer to be more productive.

Oh, May 21, May 28, June 4, and June 11 are all the indexes.

Caught up,

Grady
