Natural born leaders are enthusiastic by nature. The same applies to most Showrunners and Executive Producers. Not only do they know how to get the job done-their enthusiasm inspires the cast and crew to do their very best too.
Last week we had focused on Television Long Form -Development/Pre- Production - Phase 1.
This week we'll conclude with Television Long Form - Production, Phase 2 and Post-Production, Phase 3.
Television Long Form - Production, Phase 2
Showrunners and Executive Producers provide the following services:
They oversee and approve deals for all the principal components of the production.
They supervise the Unite Production Manager (UPM)
They provide in-person consultation with the director, the principal cast and the production designer.
They help to select the composer.
They provide in-person consultation on the set design, set dressings, locations and props.
They prove in-person consultation on visual and mechanical effects (wherever applicable).
They provide in-person consultation on wardrobe, make-up and hair .
They manage and approve the weekly cost report.
They supervise "on-set" and on a regular basis the day-to-day operation of the shooting company and of all talents and crafts.

Post-Production, Phase 3
Showrunners and Executive Producers provide the following services:
They prove in-person consultation with the editor.
They view and appraise the director's cut.
They are involved in the approval of the final cut.
They provide in-person consultation with the composer.
They supervise the music recording sessions.
They supervise the titles and opticals process.
They provide in-person consultation on the answer print or edited master
They provide in-person consultation on marketing plans and materials.
They provide in-person consultation on the plans for distribution and exploitation..
They participate in-person in coordinating the publicity process.
They participate in-person in the exploitation of the production in all ancillary markets.
