Well... Me and the other fellow finally came to an agreement. Basically I'll get two percent of the budget with a max of 60,000, and a minimum of 35,000, plus I will get 10 percent of the net. I'm happy.
Anyway sorry about last week. The good news is I'm finally moving to LA, Burbank to be specific. The bad news is I haven't heard from my manager or section 8 yet. I need to make some follow up calls this week.
My hard drive almost crashed on me this week. It was a lesson because I had not backed up all my scripts. So let this be a lesson for you too. Back up all your work so you don't lose it unexpectedly!
I recently received some very good feedback on one of my scripts over at Helium peer review. They have a great system on the site. I highly recommend it. In my opinion, it is much better than Zoetrope and Trigger street. Getting notes from other writers is a critical step in your writing. It helps polish the script, and sometimes lets you know you need a page one rewrite.
