Drama is the only genre that does not work as far as high concept ideas go. Drama is always story and execution driven, never pitch driven. Therefore the material will always have to be read in order to "get it." Just hearing the logline is not going to do it.
Drama deals with serious subjects and is the stuff Movies of the Week and Bio-Pics are made of. Examples of dramatic subjects are: Personal problems, illness, divorce, death, rape, struggling to attain one's goals and social conscience.
