MODELING STRUCTURE
A simple method to insure your screenplay will be structured correctly is to rent films with a similar genre and take notes.
When you're at home, watch for and record where the major plot points fall by timing the film. Then do it in the same places in your script. Also note where characters reveal things about themselves and include that as well.
I have used this method successfully many times. When you copy the structure of a produced film, you're insuring that the structure of your screenplay will be airtight. |
