My POV Brian A. Wilson
Don't Miss ETW Expo in LA
Hey all you LA-area screenwriters. Looking for something to do June 26-29? Check out the Entertainment Technology Expo (formerly ShowBiz Expo) at the LA Convention Center.
Admission to the exhibits and some seminars is free. There are fee-based seminars as well. And they have a volunteer program that lets you trade work for class time. So, if you want to go, there's a way to do it.
This is the first "revised" ShowBiz Expo since a new management group bought the program, so it's hard to predict. However, my suspicion is, it'll be very worthwhile.
Most of the focus is on production, both film and video. However, there are several seminars targeted to writers, as well as a pitching feedback workshop put on by Sherwood Oaks Experimental College. That alone would be worth a trip downtown.

See you there!
