Everybody has a hobby. Some of us have two or three or ten. I like to gamble on sports. I mean not just one game a week, or two, but forty or fifty games a week. Sometimes double. I do it because I like it and I'm getting satisfaction out of it. You should always get satisfaction out of your hobbies. And if you treat screenwriting as your hobby, and you're not getting satisfaction out of it, then I would stop. You must write because you love it. A lot of people who read my work say they automatically know I love to write because of my obvious infatuation with words. And this is true. I love words. The way they work and their ability to make people feel one extreme to the other. So whenever you write, fall in love with the words. Play with them. Move them so they move others...
