It's Christmas morning as I write this. One of my favorite times of the year. And not just because of tree decorating, parties, food and drink and the endless rounds of gifts given and received.
I find the days preceding Christmas and lasting through New Year's some of the best for accomplishing my "personal writing" goals. This year, I'm revising a play. The reprieve from the daily work grind to a more leisurely pace encourages a reflective look at my writing. So I always try to take advantage of it. Others prefer to take a respite from writing entirely and return fresh and rejuvenated in the New Year.
Whatever your own writing routine and goals, here's to making 2004 a productive one for all. |
