Let me rephrase that: do you like writing? Or do you love it? Or do you find the act of sitting down at your computer or desk to be slightly less pleasurable than a colonoscopy?

I personally like to write. I love getting an idea or a plot twist or coming up with a good line (or a great line). I find it fun and challenging and rewarding.

Ernest Hemingway described writing this way.

"It's more fun than anything else. I have to write to be happy whether I get paid for it or not. But it is a hell of a disease to be born with. I like to do it. Which is even worse. That makes it from a disease into a vice. Then I want to do it better than anybody has ever done it which makes it into an obsession."

That's how Hemingway felt about it. How do you feel?
