Problem with Registering or Unlocking Hollywood Screenplay Software for Permanent Use...
This list is repeated at bottom of each page for easy access.
The Hollywood Screenplay Software requires an unlocking code in order to use it permanently.
1.) If you have a CD, BE SURE TO USE THE INSTRUCTIONS FOR REGISTERING THAT ARE ON THE OUTSIDE OF THE CD. Do NOT use the instructions that are contained in the program itself -- those instructions are outdated!
2.) IF YOU HAVE ALREADY SUBMITTED THE REQUEST FOR UNLOCKING CODE, BUT HAVE NOT RECEIVED BACK THE NECESSARY EMAIL, you need first to see whether the email was treated as spam by your email program. If so, it might be found in your "spam" folder, "trash" or "delete" folder. Search for any email that came from exis.net (the domain name of the registrar).
3.) If the above was not successful, and you have not received your unlocking code, send email to — and be sure to include the exact phrase "Request Unlocking Code" in the subject line of your email (this ensures that it will not be lost amongst our spam and will be speedily directed to the proper department). AND ALSO BE SURE THAT YOUR EMAIL PROGRAM WILL ALLOW ALL EMAILS COMING FROM exis.net (this is our email address domain) In other words, in order to ensure that you will receive our response to your email, be sure that your spam-protection program is set to allow this email to reach you and/or that our address is listed as an allowed address in your email program. This is sometimes referred to as "whitelisting" or removing a "blacklisting." YOU MUST ENABLE exis.net IN YOUR ALLOWED EMAILERS, WHITE LIST, OR WHATEVER YOUR ANTISPAM PROVIDER USES TO USES TO ALLOW TO PASS THROUGH TO YOUR INBOX.
When you send the email, be sure to include all the following:
a.) The registration number. This is the number that you'll find when you start the software program.
IF YOU DO NOT RECEIVE A RESPONSE TO YOUR EMAIL REQUEST (item #3 above) AFTER 24 HOURS, please read this:
b.) Your name (this MUST be the same name that you used when you originally ordered it).
c.) Full mailing address (this MUST be the same address that you used when you originally ordered it; we use this and other information to compare with our records to assist us in determining that the request is from a legitimate customer)
d.) Email address, and alternate email address, if you have one (this is important especially if problems with your email)
e.) FAX number, if you have one
f.) The following words: "I am requesting unlocking code for Hollywood Screenplay"
If you have followed the above directions for submitting your request (item #3 above), we will continue periodically to attempt to respond to that request for download instructions for the next 24 hours. If, after 24 hours, you have still not received a response from us, there is surely a problem with your email program. Therefore, after 24 hours has passed, please email us again () with "Request Unlocking Code" in the subject line, but this time include the statement that "it has been 24 hours, and this is the SECOND request for unlocking code for Hollywood Screenplay" in addition to including all the above ("a." through "f.").
We will then call you within 24 to 48 hours if other attempts fail.
