RULES FOR SENDING EMAILS TO TECH SUPPORT OF WRITERS SUPERCENTER OR OTHER AFFILIATED SOFTWARE MANUFACTURERS:
When you send the email, write the exact phrase "software questions" in the subject line (otherwise, the email will automatically be directed to the spam/trash bin!). And in the body of the email be sure to include all the following:
name of product (and whether "download" or "CD"), your name, phone number, email address, and alternate email address, if you have one, and a FAX number, if you have one (the latter are important especially if problems with your email)
And be sure to state that you "ordered from Writers SuperCenter," indicating the approximate date of purchase. And state your question/problem clearly, including any information that might help them to resolve your question the quickest.
AND ALSO BE SURE THAT YOUR EMAIL PROGRAM WILL ACCEPT ALL EMAILS COMING FROM the manufacturer's email address. In other words, in order to ensure that you will receive their response to your inquiry, be sure that your spam-protection program is set to allow their email to reach you and/or that their address is listed as an allowed address in your email program. This is sometimes referred to as "whitelisting" or removing a "blacklisting." To see from what email adress their replies will be coming, see the previous help page by clicking here.
IMPORTANT: Once they reply to your request, if you have a follow-up question, ALWAYS be sure to use the reply button so that all previous correspondence will be automatically attached to your email. Otherwise, the support staff may have great difficulty in identifying or recalling the particulars of your problem.
IF YOU DO NOT RECEIVE A RESPONSE TO YOUR EMAIL REQUEST AFTER 48 HOURS, please read this:
If you have followed the above directions for submitting your request, the manufacturer will attempt to respond to that request as quickly as possible. If, after 48 hours, you have not received a response, they may have sent you a response but your email program may be rejecting emails from their address.
Therefore, after 48 hours has passed, please email the manufacturer again, but this time please include:
ALL the information included in your first email.
And begin your email with the statement that "it has been 48 hours since I emailed you; so there may be a problem with my email program receiving your emails. Therefore, please call me or mail the reply to me if you have already tried to email me." (And if you have a FAX, you may also suggest that they use it.)
And give the times that you are available at each phone number.
The manufacturer will then either try to email you once more or call you (and if you do not answer, the response will be mailed to you).
